My Journey to Group Work
As a young psychotherapist working toward licensure, I sought supervision and guidance from a talented group specialist, Yvonne C. Smith, LMFT. Under her mentorship, I quickly fell in love with group work and, after a few years, began facilitating my own therapy groups. Though Yvonne has been gone for many years, her influence and teachings continue to inspire my work even 35 years later.
Now, as a seasoned clinician, Certified Group Psychotherapist, and lifelong learner, I continue to expand my skills through ongoing education with the American Group Psychotherapy Association and its affiliates. My Seattle-based women’s groups reflect decades of experience, dedication, and a commitment to creating supportive, growth-oriented spaces for connection and self-discovery.
